Conner said that he was flexible on the exact locations of all of the debates but said he would like to see debates take place in Champaign, Urbana, Rantoul, St. Joe, Philo, Sidney, Gifford, Tuscola, Paxton, and rural Urbana.

Conner said that he has already been in contact with the League of Women Voters about moderating the debates – and hopes that the League or some other non-partisan group is willing to host the debates.

"While many people today are benefiting from a strong economy and our state's continued economic growth – Illinois still faces many important challenges, said Conner. We can do a better job ensuring that our children receive a top-notch education. Illinois also needs to make progress in the area of health care reform and assisting our senior citizens with the rising cost of prescription drugs. These debates will provide the voters with an opportunity to hear the candidate's experience and platforms as they relate to these and other important issues of the day."
